The aim of the visit is to share information on research and development carried out by companies from ICT, health and defense sectors and to explore the possibilities of further cooperation together with the various Geneva-based International Organizations.

Estonian ICT Cluster is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization created in order to transfer Estonian knowledge about how to build most advanced digital societies in the world. Defence Estonia Cluster is a network for international cooperation and exchange of expertise to enhance the cooperation between Estonian companies.

Majority of participating companies belong to the Estonian ICT Cluster (Aktors, Cybernetica, FiscalAdmin, GoSwift, Guardtime, Helmes, Reach-U) and Defence Estonia Cluster (Cybexer, DefSecIntel, Semetron, Threod Systems). Most of these IT companies who are behind ground-breaking e-Ggovernance technologies in Estonia.

Organizations that our cluster partners visited to understand the possibilities for co-operation: International Organization for Migration (IOM), World Economic Forum (WEF), International Labour Organization (ILO), World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The visit was financed by Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the funds of development cooperation and humanitarian aid.
